Anchor Scholarship Foundation currently manages seven endowed scholarships. Each fund has its own donor, endowment level, award amount, and eligibility rules described below.
General eligibility common to most awards: recipients are typically either a dependent child or the spouse of a qualifying ship crewmember (officer or enlisted). Where noted, status may include active duty, retired, or honorably discharged personnel, or past and present crew.
Raytheon–Zumwalt Scholarship
- Award: $20,000 total (paid as $5,000 per year for up to four years)
- Endowment: $125,000 funded by Raytheon
- Purpose: Renewable support for students working toward a four‑year degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- Eligibility: High school seniors who are dependent children of U.S. Navy Surface Force members (officer or enlisted); service member may be active duty, retired, or honorably discharged
- Renewal requirements: Continued enrollment in a STEM degree program and maintenance of academic standards (minimum 3.0 GPA) each year
USS Bulkeley Scholarship
- Award: $3,500 annually
- Endowment: $120,000 established by the family of VADM John D. Bulkeley, USN (Ret) in honor of him and the ship bearing his name
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a USS Bulkeley crewmember — past or present; officer or enlisted
USS Cincinnati Scholarship
- Award: Up to $8,000 in annual scholarships
- Endowment: $200,000 provided by the USS Cincinnati Commissioning Committee
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a USS Cincinnati crewmember — active duty, retired, or honorably discharged; officer or enlisted
USS Thomas Hudner Scholarship
- Award: Up to two awards of $3,000 each annually
- Endowment: $200,000 established by the USS Thomas Hudner Commissioning Committee
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a USS Thomas Hudner crewmember — active duty, retired, or honorably discharged; officer or enlisted
Bill Hurley III Scholarship
- Award: $5,000 annually
- Endowment: $120,000 established by the family of Billy Hurley III (professional golfer and USNA graduate)
- Purpose: Honors the ships on which Billy Hurley III served (USS Chung-Hoon and USS Gettysburg)
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a crewmember of USS Chung-Hoon or USS Gettysburg — active duty, retired, or honorably discharged; officer or enlisted
Jack H. and Ruby Lucas Endowed Scholarship
- Awards: One $4,000 annual scholarship and two $2,000 annual scholarships
- Endowment: $110,000 created by the USS Jack H. Lucas Commissioning Committee to honor Medal of Honor recipient Jack H. Lucas
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a USS Jack H. Lucas crewmember — active duty, retired, or honorably discharged; officer or enlisted
USS Nantucket Endowed Scholarship
- Award: $5,000 annually
- Endowment: $125,000 provided by the USS Nantucket Commissioning Committee
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a USS Nantucket crewmember — active duty, retired, or honorably discharged; officer or enlisted
USS Santa Barbara Scholarship
- Award: $5,000 annually
- Endowment: $125,000 established by the Navy League of the United States, Santa Barbara Council
- Eligibility: Dependent child or spouse of a USS Santa Barbara crewmember — active duty, retired, or honorably discharged; officer or enlisted
